.NET  is a programming framework platform from Microsoft for developing web applications. Using ASP.NET I am able to create applications, e-commerce shops, data driven portal sites and just about anything else you can think of including online widgets.

Classic ASP (Active Server Pages) is still used by a number of older websites and it’s a common request to switch to ASP.Net when building a new website for a client. You will know your site is a classic ASP website if the web pages extension is .asp.
